Day 35

Today is the beginning of a new adventure.  Tim and I are attempting to make our own wine.  This batch will be Cardonnay.  If all goes well, we will attempt a red.  Anyone want to call dibbs on the first bottle?

Day 34

Today I was thinking about where I would like to go for vacation this summer.  Of course, the beach always comes to mind first.  Over the years we have combed the beaches of Florida and come back with a shell or two (or three) of some sort.  One year I even brought home the beautiful white sand from Destin.  Not sure where we'll end up but I hope it's someplace WARM!

Day 33

Tim came home with a piece of blueberry pie a coworker had brought in today.  I was never a fan of blueberries growing up.  But I'm trying to eat more fruit these days (along with the chocolate of course!).  The other day, I found a new recipe for Hannah to try.  It was called "To Die For Blueberry Muffins" and they were to die for literally!  We also recently made blueberry pancakes which were heavenly too!  Bon' Appetit!

Day 32

Jelly Beans.  Who invented these things anyway?  I'm not a fan.  I prefer chocolate over something this chewy and sticky that you feel like you need to go the dentist afterwards to get a good cleaning.  The kids (and even the big one) have gotten on a kick with these things lately and they had to buy the biggest container that I have ever seen and would you believe Costco carried? I think I might have to go find the M&M's hidden in the back of the pantry.

Day 31

I'm in need of a little Chianti today.  I'm not much on red wine.  Many are too oaky for me which is why I love a Reisling or Chardonnay or even a Pinot Grigio, but today I haven't been able to warm up.  Even the hot cocoa this morning didn't do it.

Day 30

Waiting for daddy.  Although he doesn't get home until way past 6 pm, any slight noise will send the dogs running to the front window to see if it's him.

Day 29

The Alto has returned.  Hannah played this instrument for four years in elementary school and upgraded to the Bari in high school.  She prefers the Bari over the Alto but has the opportunity once again to play the Alto in college.  I'm just excited she's playing again.
