Summer has gone

Well, this week is the beginning of another school year for Hannah and Carey, which basically means the end of summer is near. No more hanging out at the pool or the zoo, or seeking the thrill of the roller coaster rides at Six Flags.

Today also marks Carey's 15th birthday! It seems like yesterday he was only two feet tall and now has surpassed my height. This week has been a bit stressful for the both of us. He is a freshman, starting at a new high school. Tryouts for soccer have been taking place for the past week and a half. There are so many great soccer players to compete against.

Hannah succesfully made the tennis team again. Senior year hopes to bring new adventures and exciting times for her.

Soon the mums will be blooming and the fresh home-grown tomatoes will be gone. The leaves will start to turn and the mornings will show hints of crispness. Have you captured all your summer memories?

Why Blog?

Welcome to my new blog!

Blogging is new to me as I'm not one to journal or write down my thoughts. Am I one who has a great story to tell? I don't know exactly. I usually can't remember the punch line to a joke much less be able to retell the whole joke as it was told to me.

Through my blog spot, I would like to share with you storybooks which I have created through Heritage Makers. There are vacation stories, yearbook stories and just plain fun stuff. If you see something you like or would like to create a storybook for yourself, send me an email and I will be happy to get you started. You can also visit my website at www.yourlifestorybook.com.
