Day 126

The Asiatic Lilies are almost in full bloom now.  I took this photo right after it rained today.

Day 125

Nothing says summer like good ol' strawberry shortcake!

Day 124

We thought we would get Tucker use to the water by putting a small baby pool in the backyard.  He won't go in but eventually he would stick his nose in and blow bubbles!

Day 123

Mmmmmm!  Nothing like a margarita and sunshine to start a holiday weekend!

Day 122

The daylilies have started to bloom.  At least they will if Tucker can stop eating the blooms!

Day 121

Pretty soon you will have seen every flower planted in my yard.  This is a clematis around the mailbox.  It has been here for over 10 years!  I will have to start getting a little more creative with my photos!

Day 120

Sometimes the devil pup can be so adorable!

Monday, May 24, 2010

Day 119

A few of the daylilies have opened this morning.  It was hard to choose which photo I wanted to use in the blog.  In a few days, I should be able to show you the whole pot of daylilies!

Day 118

Today was the first day Tim and I took our bikes out for the season.  We started at the Research Park and headed towards Greens Bottom.  At the Research Park, there is approx 3/4 of a mile that the water company paved and there are several bridges leading up to the trail.  This is overlooking one of those bridges.  It's a very senic 3/4 mile.  I think we rode about 12 miles this morning.

Day 117

I totally missed yesterday's photo and blog.  Well, I really didn't miss it. I remembered it, just didn't have time to take a photo and blog about it.  Life happens and we move on.  Today was Carey's last soccer game of the season.  We have a tournament coming up in a few weeks but after that I think we are finished for a while.  With lacrosse and soccer over, what is a mother to do?  I'm sure I'll think of something!

Day 115

It's a jungle out there Tucker!  He likes to hide in the bushes and in my flower beds when he doesn't want us to catch him.  This is his favorite spot to lay and munch on twigs and sticks.  Unfortunately, he likes the new bulbs that have emersed from these daylily plants too!

Day 114

Don't you hate it when you put important papers (and flower tags) in safe places where you think you won't forget where you put them? And you forgot where you put it? That would be me.  This is another flower in my yard and I can't tell you the name of it because I can't find the flower tag!

Day 113

We finally had sunshine today after eight straight days of rain!  Woo Hoo!  It's nice to see the sun again.

Monday, May 17, 2010

Day 112

This sweet, innocent little puppy has become a vicious tormentor!  We will have to do some serious obedience training!

Sunday, May 16, 2010

Day 111

When it does nothing but rain, it's hard to find subjects to photograph.  I felt like I needed to shot something other than the pets!  So I went out and played in the rain today.  We have some evergreens in the front yard and I was aiming for water droplets.  Not a bad pic considering I'm still not sure of what I'm doing!

Day 110

5/15/10 - I happened to look over at the pups and Tucker had his paws crossed over Kolby's.  Not sure if he was planning on taking a bite out of them or not!

Friday, May 14, 2010

Day 109

This was actually cuter in person.  The photo is not so good.  We have a glass storm door that the dogs usually sit to watch the neighborhood go by.  All three were lined up at one point but I wasn't quick enough with the camera.  Eventually, Tucker and Simon picked on each other and the whole shot was gone in under a second.  Some days they are worse than than the 2-legged children!

Day 108

This photo didn't turn out exactly like I wanted it to.  Tucker blends in too much next to Kolby.  We will have to try this one differently nex time.

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Day 107

It's a good thing Tucker and Kolby know how to share nicely!

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Day 106

This flower (not sure of it's name because I can't find my tag) was closed earlier when I took a photo of it for my picture today.  I was interrupted with puppy issues and when I came back to photograph more, it was open.  I'll need to research and figure out the name.  I am surprised this is the only bloom on the whole plant.

Monday, May 10, 2010

Day 105

I have grown Asiatic Lilies for many years now.  They come in a variety of colors. These happen to be potted in big containers on the patio.  When bloomed, they will be a vibrant orange.  It won't be long now.

Sunday, May 9, 2010

Day 104

Tucker is tuckered!  This weekend, he has been to 3 soccer games, 1 lacrosse game, a BBQ and to grandma and grandpas.  This evening, we went for a walk and now he is out like a light!  I will be however, waking him shortly so that he will sleep through the night!

Saturday, May 8, 2010

Day 103

Today was CBC's Lacrosse Club Day which means LAX all day.  JV did very well as did the Varsity team beating Kirkwood.  Carey had an excellent game again, even considering he also played in a soccer tournament today.    He still had the wheels to outrun the opponents!

Friday, May 7, 2010

Day 102

Kolby and Tucker are starting to get use to each other.  Or I should say Kolby is finally getting use to having a baby in the house.  It took him a while but he is starting to play and not be frightened by the quick moments and the sharp teeth of a puppy!

Day 101

Have I mentioned that I love, love, love my new camera?  I took a few other cute pictures today of Tucker, but someone switched my focus off of auto and into manual so they are blurry.  Maybe tomorrow I will have better shots.  Puppies only sit still for so long!

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Day 100

Wow! I can't believe I've been able to keep up with Project 365 and it's day 100 already!  Tonight I took my new camera to Carey's lacrosse game.  I figured out the whole focusing thing and my pictures turned out pretty good.  What's even better is CBC won!  Yeah!

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Day 99

Kolby is trying to be sneaky about stealing a toy from Tucker.  Tucker is our new puppy and we bought him this stuffed penguin.  Kolby usually doesn't get stuffed toys because he chews holes in them to get to the squeaker.  We'll see how long this lasts!

Monday, May 3, 2010

Day 98

I am so loving my new camera! This is one of the better photos I took today.  There is so much to learn!

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Day 97

The day we got our new puppy, I received my Mother's Day gift.  It was a new Rebel camera!  I was very excited!  Today I played with the "action" setting and was able to shoot several pictures really fast.  I think the photos are a bit blurry so I need to learn how to work the zoom lens with the auto-focus.  There is so much to learn!

Saturday, May 1, 2010

Day 96

The new puppy still has no name.  When he's tired, he just collapse's wherever.  Once he fell asleep in a strange position so I picked him up and placed him in the middle of Gunner's bed.  It just swalled him up!  Eventually he will grow into it!

Day 95 Again

Yes, finally!  This photo I took yesterday uploaded much quicker this evening.  This is our new addition.  He has no name yet because we all can't agree on the same name.  Suggestions were Baloo, Chief, Tundra, and a few others.  He is a Great Pyrenesse/Golden Retriever mix.  We think his daddy was lab.  He is mainly white in color though.  He is adjusting well and sleeps through most of the night.  Four o'clock came very early this morning!
