Day 227

The bushes in the backyard look like they are dressed for halloween already.  The spiderwebs are everywhere!  The closer I looked at this one, I saw that the owner was home.  By the time I set to take a second closer shot, he scurried into the bush.

Day 224-225

Day 225 - This morning when I walked outside, the sun was just coming up over the trees and was hidden slightly behind some clouds.  Made for a great photo!

Day 224 - I admit it..I'm a cookie junkie!  Chocolate Chip cookies to be exact.  Home-made are my favorite, but who has time for that these days?  Chips Ahoy Chunky come in second.

Day 221-223

Can you tell I like flowers?

This weekend, we celebrated family being together and Kale's First Birthday.  Isn't it funny how we learn at such an early age the importance of the "green gifts"?
It's Mum season, so I had to plant some.  I think I may go buy some more.

Day 220

Friday, September 3, 2010 - Walking down Main Street in St. Charles Friday evening, this squirrel jumped out of the trash can.  Not what I was expecting, but then again, I don't expect ANYTHING to be jumping out of trash cans!

Day 219

I have several pretty nice photos that I took today.  It was hard to choose which one I wanted to post.  I chose the yellow finch since I don't have him here in my blog yet.  However, if I don't come up with a good photo in the next day or two, I will post a new Hummingbird photo and a cute little bird I found drinking in my fountain today.  The yellow finch LOVES the seeds from my cone flowers.  I actually took this photo through glass (with a screen).  I guess the new tricks I learned in my photo class are paying off!

Day 218

Today was a crummy, rainy day for photos outside so I just happened to have taken an "extra" photo yesterday.  The pups were so quiet I wasn't sure what they were up to.  I then noticed them laying in the yard enjoying the warm sunshine.  They must get their sun-worshipping from me!
