Day 247

This flowery bush was loaded with little moths.  This one was either too frightened to fly away or enjoyed having his picture taken.

Day 245

Can you believe the size of this Hibiscus flower?  This belongs in Wic's yard and they are gorgeous!

Day 240 - 244

Day 244 -This is my friend Wic.  I'll be pet sitting him this week since his parents are away enjoying the beach!

Day 243 - For my birthday, Tim took me to the beach since I was missing it so much.  We haven't been for a few years and it was longing to go back.  September is the perfect time to hit Destin because there are no crowds and the weather is still enjoyable!

Day 242 - During our morning walk on the beach, we came across this sand castle someone had made.  Pretty cool.

Day 241 -On Sunday, as we traveled back to Pensacola to catch our flight, we stopped in the downtown area and came across this restaurant called The Fish House.  I highly recommend it if you ever go there.  This was the best seafood we had all weekend! And the Bloody Mary's were only $2.00!!!

Day 240 -We took this goofy photo of us before we left Destin. It's not easy to take photos of yourself!

Day 238-239

Day 239 - I am using Tim's photo for the day.  After hearing and seeing this photo, I wasn't in the mood any longer. (P.S. - no one was hurt but Carey's heart is broken.)

Day 238- When life is busy and you barely have time to cook, which was the case today, mac n cheese is always there to the rescue.

Day 231-237

Day 237 - This photo was actually taken yesterday at our family reunion.  I love it because it's so peaceful.  Isn't this what life's all about?

Day 236- This was taken at a small lake in Perryville, MO where we have our family reunion each year.  I love the reflection off the water and I really like the color of the tree that is in the process of turning red.

Day 235 - The mums are starting to bloom!

Day 234 -It's Happy Apple time!

Day 233 - Am I boring you with my mum photos?

Day 232 - The little Chipies are going crazy over the cherries in the tree right now.  Unfortunately, some are not smart enough to stay high in the tree or quick enough to fly away and not get smacked by a 6 month old puppy paw.

Day 231 - Mums the word.

Day 228-230

Day 228 - Carey came home with this silly hat for some reason...who knows what goes on in 17 year old brains.

Day 229 - The banana peppers are still going strong in the garden.

Day 230 - It looks like my daisy plant is about to bloom. Yeah!  I've been waiting for a while now.  I don't remember it blooming this late in the season.

Day 227

The bushes in the backyard look like they are dressed for halloween already.  The spiderwebs are everywhere!  The closer I looked at this one, I saw that the owner was home.  By the time I set to take a second closer shot, he scurried into the bush.

Day 226

Rainy days are for reading and today was a dreary day.

Day 224-225

Day 225 - This morning when I walked outside, the sun was just coming up over the trees and was hidden slightly behind some clouds.  Made for a great photo!

Day 224 - I admit it..I'm a cookie junkie!  Chocolate Chip cookies to be exact.  Home-made are my favorite, but who has time for that these days?  Chips Ahoy Chunky come in second.

Day 221-223

Can you tell I like flowers?

This weekend, we celebrated family being together and Kale's First Birthday.  Isn't it funny how we learn at such an early age the importance of the "green gifts"?
It's Mum season, so I had to plant some.  I think I may go buy some more.

Day 220

Friday, September 3, 2010 - Walking down Main Street in St. Charles Friday evening, this squirrel jumped out of the trash can.  Not what I was expecting, but then again, I don't expect ANYTHING to be jumping out of trash cans!

Day 219

I have several pretty nice photos that I took today.  It was hard to choose which one I wanted to post.  I chose the yellow finch since I don't have him here in my blog yet.  However, if I don't come up with a good photo in the next day or two, I will post a new Hummingbird photo and a cute little bird I found drinking in my fountain today.  The yellow finch LOVES the seeds from my cone flowers.  I actually took this photo through glass (with a screen).  I guess the new tricks I learned in my photo class are paying off!

Day 218

Today was a crummy, rainy day for photos outside so I just happened to have taken an "extra" photo yesterday.  The pups were so quiet I wasn't sure what they were up to.  I then noticed them laying in the yard enjoying the warm sunshine.  They must get their sun-worshipping from me!
