2010 Family Yearbook

Although Project 365 is complete, I hope to continue to post photos and new projects I am working on.  You will see attached our 2010 Family Yearbook.  A piece of advise for those considering yearbooks, immediately download your camera photos to your computer the day you take them or within the same week.  This will avoid large files on your camera and accidentally deleting ones you wish you would have kept.  File them into a folder in your "My Pictures" file labeled 2011 or whatever the current year may be.  If you have a Heritage Makers account, immediately upload them into your photo storage.  Be sure to backup your drive as well.  With a backup copy and your Heritage Makers account, your photos will be saved for eternity.

Project 365 Completed!

Yeah!  My Project 365 is complete!  I can hear you now..."What? But your blog says your only on Day 359?  What happened to the last week?"  Well, this is what happened....I did a little research through my blog and noticed that I repeated a few days back in October.  Some may say I need to go back to school and learn how to count, but I say...maybe I should work on a few less projects simultaneously and streamline by to-do list!  In any case, my project is complete and is attached for you to see all my photos in one storybook.

Day 359

Monday Day 359 - Today was not a good day for Tucker.  He somehow found a packet of gum and decided he liked it.  Not sure how much he ate, but I do know that it can be fatal for dogs.  After calling the vet, I found out that one piece of gum per 20 lb. dog is lethal!  Needless to say, we made a trip to the vet where they kept him for the day to monitor him.  They checked is glucose levels periodically to make sure they didn't rise.  Turns out, he either didn't eat much or it didn't effect him. Better safe than sorry.  I'm happy he's back home chewing is bone!

Day 358

Sunday Day 358 - The cupboards are bare so I had to make a trip to Costco.  They were sampling their fresh home-made granola.  After one taste, I had to make the purchase....it was still warm from the oven!

Day 357

Saturday Day 357 - Today we celebrated my Dad's 70th Birthday.  It doesn't even seem possible!  We went to The Barrens Winery which is located in Perryville and is owned by Dad's cousin, Kathleen.  A great time was had by all!

Day 356

Kolby has seen and been in snow before but I don't think he knew what to do with 9 inches of it!  He tip-toed in the deep parts and tried to get comfortable lying down.  Man that has to be cold on his belly!

Day 355

Thursday Day 355 - Today was a fun snow day for Tucker.  I tried to focus more on Tucker but there are too many objects around him that it was difficult for me to do.  I thought he looked funny with all of the snow on his nose!

Day 354

Wednesday Day 354 - I'm not sure I can find much more in my home to photograph...will need to venture out and about one of these days.

Day 353

Tuesday Day 353 - Can you tell Kolby just isn't a big fan of having his photo taken?  He wouldn't look at me!

Day 352

Monday Day 352 - Hmmmm....well, not much excitement in the my world of photography today.

Day 351

Sunday Day 351 - I can't remember if I've taken a photo of the ornamental grass in the back yard.  Well, after 350 photos, would you remember?  We usually do not cut this down until after winter as the birds love to nest in the center while it's cold out.  I just need to keep Tucker from jumping smack in the middle!

Day 350

Saturday Day 350 - Today we took Tim's parents out to lunch for his dad's 71st birthday.  I decided to take a 3-generation photo since I haven't taken one yet.  Turned out very nice.

Day 349

The nose knows.  Kolby's nose is much better at tracking than Tucker's nose.  Maybe as he grows older it will become more sensitive.

Day 348

Ice can sometimes be fun to photograph.  The few I took today came out okay considering they were low to the ground attached to a vehicle.  Had they been up higher, on the roof for instance, I could have possibly taken better pics.

Day 347

I thought I would get up close and personal with Simon today.  He's not one to have his picture taken.  As a matter of a fact, neither of my two-legged children like to have their picture taken either!

Day 346

Tuesday Day 346 - Today we woke to about four inches of snow on the ground and the Cardinal's and the other snow birds flocked to the feeders.

Day 345

Monday Day 345 - It's clementine season and Tim's been eatin' the heck out of them.  I tried to get a close up shot of the inside hoping for something really cool looking; maybe next time.

Day 344

Sunday Day 344 - Tucker was taking his nap and I was searching for something to use for my photo today.   Who knows what I'll come up with tomorrow....hope it's something a bit more exciting!

Day 343

Saturday Day 343 - Honey Roasted Peanuts....not as good as chocolate covered peanuts but hey, these go much better with a cold beer!

Day 342

Friday Day 342 - Today I received a Thank You package from a rep that I work with.  How did he know I liked chocolate?  Guess this means a few extra more miles on the treadmill!

Day 341

Thursday Day 341 - Today was a good Chicken n' Dumplin' kinda day!  Homemade of course!

Day 340

Wednesday Day 340 - I happened to glance out the front window today and thought we were being invaded...by BIRDS!  I captured quite a few birds a week or so ago in my Project but nothing like what I saw today.  Every speck of black you see in this photo is a bird.

Day 339

Tuesday Day 339 - My creativity seems to be going out the window.  Some days I haven't a clue on what to photograph other than food and pets!

Monday, January 3, 2011

Day 338

Day 338 - These are a few of the remaining candy canes left from Christmas.  I wonder if they will still be here at Easter?

Day 337

Sunday Day 337 -  This is Noah James Kertz.  He was born this morning at 12:22 am and belongs to Sam my neice and her husband Eric.  Noah is unhappy because they took him from his oxygen.  He is now at Cardinal Glennon with a collapsed lung and is anemic.  I know many of you are praying for him and he is in good hands.  This would have been a better picture if it weren't for the lovely striped window I had to focus through!

Day 336

Saturday Day 336 - Today is Jan 1, 2011.  What goes up must come down, right?  Well, I started taking the Christmas Tree down today.  I blogged early that it takes me several hours to get all of the ornaments on the tree.  Well, it also takes several hours to take them off!  I wanted to share one last ornament photo with you.  Tim has a very talented aunt who painted this santa face on a light bulb.  It is one of my favorites.

Day 335

Friday Day 335 - Toasting in the new year with my new Mizzou wine glasses, thanks to Hannah and Quentin.

Day 334

Thursday Day 334 - Today Tim and I drove to our lake property in Cuba to meet with a builder.  While walking our land, one of the pair of Eagles flew by.  And me always having my camera on me, was ready for him!  Click the photo to open up a larger view.  You will be able to see his white head and tail.

Day 333

Wednesday Day 333 - Why is it when puppies sleep soundly, they sleep like humans?  Tucker just needs a blankie now.

Day 332

Tuesday Day 332 - This week while Tim is on "vacation", he has been sprucing up the house with fresh paint and has also decorated the sidelites on the front door with this etched film.  Looks like we spent some bucks but only cost about twenty dollars!
