Day 217

I quote my children when we went to the Moab Desert...."it's only a rock, mom".  Yes, I know, but it makes for a unique photo. (and I was bored today).

Day 212-216

Goodness, I've fallen behind on my posts!  Sometimes it's easier to post each day than it is to try and play catch up!  Day 213 (which was actually Friday, 8/27) I snapped a photo of some art projects that can be created with our scrapbook pages.  All you need are some small tiles.  Whatever size tile you decide on, be sure to create your scrapbook page layout with the same size.  Then when your page is published, just cut and paste onto the tiles.  These actually have a magnet glued on back so they can be used on your refrigerator door.

Day 214 - Saturday was a good day to romp and play outside which is exactly what Kolby did.

Day 215 - Sunday afternoons are good for naps, right?

Day 216 - Monday's are always so busy for me so I resorted to wondering the house looking for something unique to photograph.  I found a stock of card stock and colored paper in my craft room.  Unfortunately, this room does not get used very often anymore.  Plus, all my paper supply is on-line now!

Day 212

I've been waiting patiently for the pretty little yellow finch to come back but he doesn't stay long enough for a photo opp.  I take what I can get.  This guy isn't the most glamourous bird God created but I'm sure he has a purpose.

Day 211

Most of the flowers in my yard have faded and gone away so I had to go buy me a bunch.  These won't last long either if Simon doesn't stop munching on them.

Day 210

Kolby looks a little tired or even a bit sad.  Could be either one due to the fact that Tucker bugs the snot out of him!  Luckily, Tucker was thirsty and went inside.  Gave Kolby a few minutes of piece.

Day 209

I love it when butterflies take time to smell the flowers!  Makes it easier for me to capture them.

Day 208

The hummingbird has finally found the feeder!  I couldn't get close enough though before he realized I was there and he fluttered off.  Hopefully I will be able to get a closer shot another day.

Day 207

Carey turned 17 yesterday.  It took six tries to get him to behave for the camera....he's such a goof.

Day 206

Today I had hoped to get a picture of my birthday boy who turns 17 today but he had plans to go to the Cardinal game with some friends so our birthday dinner will have to wait a day.  So must the birthday photo.  I will catch him tomorrow!  However, it did happen to rain today and I managed to snap this photo before the humidity dried up the droplets.

Day 205

I know this isn't his best side, but Mr. Toad was gettin' away.  For living in the suburbs, we have quite the array of creatures in our backyard.

Day 204

My puppies look blue!! Yesterday when I was playing with the settings, I took pictures indoor with the indoor lighting setting.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take it off when I went outside today.  Guess I'll have to make this photo black and white in Photoshop if I want to print or unload elsewhere.

Day 203

Tonight I had my first Cannon camera class at Creve Coeur Camera.  I learned so many new things!  Once home, I played around a bit but with it being dark outside I was limited to indoors.  The hard part will be remembering what I learned!

Day 202

Life is good!

Day 198-201

I have finally returned and am so exciting about my business!  Heritage Makers is such a great company and I am glad I made the trip to Arizona for our Reunion.  We stayed at the Arizona Biltmore.  The grounds were gorgeous and our room was very elegant.
This is my dear friend Paula, who without her, I probably would not have made the trip!
After several years of speaking on the phone, I finally was able to meet my upline Director, Virginia!  That was one hightlight of my trip!
This isn't a very good picture but I wanted to share with you an idea for our Canvas products.  We now have deep set canvases (2") and  with all of our canvases, you can group them together to make your home look fabulous!

One last photo before I left had to be of the palm trees.  Just don't see these back home!

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

I will be missing in action for a few days.  I am headed to Phoenix for our annual Heritage Makers Reunion.  I finally get to meet all of my California friends!  On Sunday, I will recap with photos from my trip.  See you then.

Day 197

The tomatoes are dwindling down these days.  Between the bunnies and the heat, the plants are looking a bit wilted.  The green peppers and yellow squash don't look so good either.

Day 194-196

Carey and his buddies went camping at Huzzah Valley Resort in Cuba this past weekend.  I think it was quite the learning experience for him and the guys.  Quite an eye opening on as well too from the stories we've heard.  We met up with them for dinner after they got back from their canoe trip.
The sun had settled and the valley was starting to develop a haze which was probably a combination of fog and smoke from all the nearby campfires.  This was as close to the horses as I could get with my zoom.
Mr. Bunny has made his way to the flower garden next to the house.  I'm amazed he is still alive.

Day 193

This photo was actually taken a day or so ago.  I was too busy with work and getting the kids ready for their camping trips, each going in the opposite direction.  I'm still working on zooming in on close up objects.  I'm excited for my photo class that will be coming up in a couple of weeks.  I'm looking forward to learning all the ins and outs of the camera.

Day 192

Nothing too exciting happening outdoors today.  Critters must all be hiding from the heat.  So indoors I play with the zoom and the regular lens and just see what I can come up with.  This is a wreath that hangs in my living room.  Don't look too close or you might see dust!

Day 191

Tucker loves to play with these "eggs" that came with his stuffed penquin toy.  The penquin has since been destroyed but the eggs are still around.  There are actually three of them and he was able to stuff two in his mouth at the same time.  He's working on the third!

Day 190

It was too hot today for taking any photographs outside so I resorted back inside.  We have several boxes laying about as Hannah will be moving back to college soon.  Our 14 year old cat Simon still things he is a kitten and loves to play hide and seek.

Monday, August 2, 2010

Day 189

The miniature grasses are starting to bloom again.  At least the ones that Tucker hasn't destroyed yet.

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Day 188

Our box turtle came back and joined us on the patio today.  Hannah thought we needed to do a close up shot this time.  He is kinda cute.

2011 Family Yearbook

Here is my latest project...our 2011 Family Yearbook.
